ISU’s aspiring teachers help give Chicago students a voice
Illinois State teacher candidates raised funds for an extracurricular slam poetry mentorship between Simeon Career Academy and John G. Cook Elementary throughout the fall semester. Their service learning culminated in a trip to Chicago to meet and learn from the students.
