Annual CIT Conference headlined by President Kinzy

On August 3, Illinois State University information technology (IT) professionals gathered for the annual Continuous Improvement in Technology (CIT) Conference, which was headlined by a keynote speech from Illinois State University President Terri Goss Kinzy.  The event was held in a hybrid format, with the in-person events held at the State Farm Hall of Business.

Through daily interactions with students, the Division of Student Affairs has an enormous amount of data on student behavior, health, recreation, interests, daily life, and more. The division has established a goal to take a more integrated view of the data across its 14 departments.

FBI virtual internships fair was successfully hosted by IT students October 7

On October 7, the School of Information Technology Registered Student Organizations hosted a virtual internship fair with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for summer 2022 recruitment opportunities. Due to COVID restrictions, the FBI (along with many other organizations) was unable to attend the in-person internship fair. The student club leaders identified technology-enabled career fairs as an opportunity to bring these internship prospects to ISU students. The FBI event is the first of what they hope will be many such events.
