On March 9-12, 2022, Department of Technology faculty members Troy Blunier, Josh Brown, and Josh Katz attended, along with Technology and Engineering Education students Amanda Pediak, Will Maire, Riley Fortune, Gary Derwin, Will Salek, Henry Gleamza, Nick Schaefer, Tyler Polak, and Yoni Leibovitz, The International Technology and Engineering Educators Association Annual Conference: “Standards for Technological and Engineering Literacy: The Role of Technology and Engineering in STEM Education–Keys to Success!”
Technology students assist in Vex Robotics High School State Championship competition
Dr. Chris Merrill, professor of technology and engineering education, and Troy Blunier, instructional assistant professor, were administrators for the VEX IQ (Elementary Competition) and VEX VRC Tipping Point events which were held at Rich Township High School STEM Campus in Olympia Fields, Illinois on February 26, 2022.

CAST announces Three Minute Thesis competition finalists
On December 3, the College of Applied Science and Technology (CAST) held its Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition. The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) is a research communication competition that challenges master’s and doctoral students to describe their research topic and its significance in just 3 minutes to a general audience.
