Actor and playwright Eisa Davis in residence January 21-22

The Illinois State University School of Theatre and Dance and Crossroads Project will host award-winning actor and playwright, Eisa Davis, niece to civil rights activist Angela Davis, for a playwriting workshop and colloquium featuring a performance of material from her critically acclaimed play, Angela’s Mixtape.

Walking With My Ancestors performances October 24 and 25

Walking With My Ancestors, an original play about enslaved Africans in West African slave-holding dungeons, will be presented at 8 p.m. Saturday, October 24, and at 4 p.m. Sunday, October 25, in Illinois State University’s Kemp Recital Hall.
