The presentation “Challenges to Your Pension” will discuss current bills before the Illinois state legislature that could dramatically impact the pensions of Illinois state employees including university staff and faculty.

Illinois State University Assistant Professor of molecular neuroethology in the School of Biological Sciences Andres Vidal-Gadea will give a talk titled, “Transparent worms and invisible force fields: How the tiny nematode C. elegans use the earth’s magnetic field to find its way around the world” at the University Club at 4:30 p.m. Friday, February 15, in the Founders Suite of the Bone Student Center.

The University Club will announce its scholarship recipients at the next meeting at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, December 7, in the Founder’s Suite of Bone Student Center. The event is free and open to the University community.
University Club: Oforiwaa Aduonum and African drumming, November 30
Oforiwaa Aduonum has created performances based on her travels and research in Ghana. A TEDx speaker, she explores how kinesthetic empathy and music is useful for deepened dialogue about the effects of slavery, moving us towards compassion and emotional justice.
U-Club: Mink to talk local historic movie theaters, November 9
