Illinois State University closed February 17 due to weather
Due to the impending winter storm with forecasts for ice, heavy snow, and high winds, Illinois State University will be closed Thursday, February 17. All classes (in-person, hybrid, and online) will be cancelled and will not be delivered remotely. Residence halls and residential dining centers will remain open. All other campus buildings will be closed Thursday.
The future of housing and dining
The Division of Student Affairs had previously developed a master plan for University Housing Services that provided strategic direction for residential and dining areas prior to the pandemic. Now, the division is revisiting the plan and refreshing its data and scope.
STAR Moment Award highlights exceptional student employees
Each month outstanding Student Affairs staff members, full-time and student employees, are nominated by their peers for the STAR (Staff That Are Remarkable) Moment Award. To be considered for a STAR Moment Award, a person must demonstrate a willingness to go above and beyond, whether it be through outstanding customer service, helping a coworker, or stepping up in a difficult situation.
Make a joyful noise: Interdenominational Youth Choir worships through song and outreach
It’s a Thursday night in December, and members of the Interdenominational Youth Choir (IYC) are huddled together in the Circus Room of the Bone Student Center. After a quick prayer and a scripture reading, the choir begins to sing in worship.

University Housing Services holds House Calls with COVID-19 safety precautions
Illinois State University Housing Services partnered with several volunteers to conduct House Calls. These are annual visits to residence hall rooms to ensure that students are adjusting properly to the start of the academic year.
