WGLT set to host candidate open house, forum ahead of April election

An open house and forum on March 22, will include candidates for Bloomington City Council, Normal Town Council, and area school boards.
Two greatly successful news organizations will be under one roof. The Vidette and WGLT will be located together in The Vidette building, located at 500 W. Locust Street, Normal, IL, 61761. The co-location is planned to be completed by the summer of 2023.
The School of Communication’s media outlets of The Vidette, TV-10, WGLT, and WZND have earned many more awards in 2022.
The Dr. Robert and Marilyn Sutherland Endowment for WGLT was established in 2011 to support the public radio station and its participating students.
NPR member stations around the country voted to elect WGLT general manager R.C. McBride to the NPR Board of Directors. McBride will serve a three-year term beginning in November.
