Honors
Anne Wortham, SOC, was named to the Illinois Advisory Committee of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights.  State Advisory Committees (SACs) consist of citizen volunteers familiar with local and state civil rights issues who assist the U.S. Commission with its fact-finding, investigative, and information dissemination functions.

William Cupach, COM emeritus, was inducted into the Central States Communication Association’s (CSCA) Hall of Fame at its annual spring meeting in Madison, Wisconsin.

Performances
Kevin Hart
, MUS, and the Vibe Tribe performed throughout Central Illinois over the summer, including concerts at Miller Park, Connie Link Amphitheater, and Peoria RiverFront’s CEFCU Center Stage.

Kate Lewis, MUS, served as principal violist for the Peoria Bach Festival and was part of the artist faculty for the Sewanee Summer Music Festival where she taught master classes, performed chamber music, and coordinated the chamber music program.

Joseph Manfredo, MUS, conducted the Festival Band for the 2015 Leonard Falcone International Tuba and Euphonium Competition.

Leslie Manfredo, MUS, sang in the Peoria Bach Festival Choir performing Cantata 147 “Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben” and Cantatas 190, 133, and 65 were also performed.
